taxofit® Copper + Zinc Chrono Depot Tablets make a significant contribution towards providing your body with the essential vital substances copper and zinc.

Forgetfulness, finding oneself at a loss for words (anomia), impaired concentration, and problems with handling one's daily workload may suggest a copper deficiency.
Furthermore, the body needs copper to keep the bones supple (formation of collagen and elastin) and facilitate the absorption of iron (blood formation). In combination with zinc, copper is also essential for maintaining a healthy, functional immune system.

Individuals aged 50 or older, or who eat a poorly balanced diet (weight-loss diet, fast food, vegetarian diet) are at particular risk of developing a deficiency of copper and zinc. There are other groups of people who also have a higher demand for copper and zinc, which cannot always be met with a regular diet. Such is the case, for instance, with athletes, diabetics, and individuals who tend to over-react to the ever-increasing environmental stress.

The human body cannot produce most of the vital substances contained in a taxofit® Copper + Zinc Chrono Depot® Tablet, and has only limited capacities for storing them. Consequently, copper and zinc have to be supplied to the body on a regular basis and in sufficient amounts with our daily diet.

In order to provide a more demand-specific supply of these elemental vital substances, the copper and zinc contained in a taxofit® Chrono Depot® Tablet are released in two phases, based on the principle of chronobiology: Copper is released in an instant phase, and zinc in a depot phase. This phase-controlled release process ensures optimum absorption and utilisation of the vital substances, as copper and zinc will no longer interfere with each other to any significant extent with regard to their absorption and utilisation in the body.
