Benzocaine

Effects
The active ingredient benzocaine is a local anaesthetic. Like a thin film, the benzocaine contained in dolo-angin coats the mucosa of the mouth and throat, providing fast pain relief in this area.


Isomalt

General
Isomalt is made from the saccharose contained in beet sugar and has only half the calories of regular sugar. It has a pleasant sweetness, without any foreign odour or taste.

Isomalt is gentle on the teeth, as the bacteria in the mouth cannot feed on it. Thus no tooth-damaging acids are produced.
Isomalt is safe for diabetics, as it is decomposed by body enzymes to a lesser degree and much more slowly than regular sugar. Consequently, glucose and insulin levels in the blood will increase much less and more slowly after ingestion of Isomalt-containing products.


Lichen Islandicus

Occurrence
The active substance Lichen islandicus is extracted from a lichen that has been used for ages as a food and remedy in Norway and Iceland.

Effects
Lichen islandicus contains mucilaginous and bitter substances which soothe the inflamed and irritated mucosa of the mouth and throat, thus preventing the invasion of pathogens. This provides relief of the inflammation and better regeneration of the mucosa.
