What is so special about the formulation of taxofit® Zinc + Vitamin C Depot Tablets?
Due to a specifically developed manufacturing process, taxofit® Zinc + Vitamin C Depot Tablets dissolve in a slow and demand-specific process within the body. This way, the essential trace element zinc and vitamin C are supplied to the body continuously over a period of several hours.

What benefits can be expected of Zinc + Vitamin C?
Meeting the body's demand for zinc and vitamin C is essential for our immune system to work properly.
While each of the individual substances plays an important role by itself in boosting our immune defence, in combination they complement each other in a positive way - to provide a double effect for the immune system. In particular during the cold and wet season, but also in times of severe stress and especially for smokers, it is important to supply the body's immune defence with adequate amounts of zinc and vitamin C.

Zink + vitamin C have to be supplied to the body with our daily diet. Our food provides a wide variety of sources - of both animal and vegetable origin.
Foodstuffs that are particularly rich in zinc include oysters, oatmeal, and cheese. However, the zinc that occurs naturally in our food cannot be absorbed in full by the body. Vitamin C is found, for instance in citrus fruits, bell peppers, rosehip, and black currants.
However, a large percentage of the vitamin C can be lost during storage and/or preparation of these foods.

A deficiency of vital substances is particularly likely to occur in individuals who are on a weight loss diet or whose nutritional habits are poorly balanced, as well as in vegetarians and athletes. Likewise, adolescents as well as pregnant women and nursing mothers have a higher demand for these substances.
Individuals beyond the age of 50 years do not actually have a higher demand; however, due to changes in their dietary habits, they tend to consume insufficient amounts of vital substances in general.

In case of an acute infection, increased environmental or other stress, or a poorly balanced diet, the body's demand for zinc + vitamin C is also increased.

List of ingredients:
Vitamin C, zinc gluconate, gelling agent hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, maize starch, bulking agent microcrystalline cellulose, hydrogenated vegetable oil, separating agents mono and diglycerides of dietary fatty acids and magnesium salts of dietary fatty acids, bulking agent polydextrose, colourants titanium dioxide, riboflavin and iron oxide.

Contains no:
Artificial colourants, gluten, gelatine, sugar/lactose.

Dosage recommendation:
One Depot Tablet daily, taken with a meal and swallowed whole with some liquid, to cover 500% of the adult RDA for vitamin C and 33% of the adult RDA for zinc according to the ordinance for information on nutritional value (Nährwert-Kennzeichnungsverordnung).

Note:
Store in a dry place; do not expose to temperatures above 25°C.
