taxofit® Joints plus Chrono Depot® Tablets contain a special combination of vital substances to meet the demands of healthy joints. These vital substances are particularly important for the joint cartilage, which has to bear a great deal of stress, and for the synovial fluid, which serves as a lubricant - thus maintaining the health and functionality of the entire joint. These beneficial effects are mainly due to the vital substances glucosamine sulfate (300 mg) and chondroitin sulfate (38 mg), which are known as natural building blocks of healthy joint cartilage.

The demand for essential vital substances in the joints cannot always be covered with our regular daily diet. This is due to the fact that a large portion of the vitamins and minerals contained in our food is lost during prolonged periods of storage and/or improper preparation such as overcooking, warming over, etc. Thus, for instance, the content of vitamin B6 in milk is reduced by up to 50% by heating or prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Elderly or obese individuals, as well as those who put excessive stress on their joints in sports activities or at work, are particularly likely to have an increased demand for vital substances in their joints. However, a deficiency may also be caused by a weight-loss diet or other imbalances in a person's nutritional habits.
The human body itself cannot produce most of the vital substances contained in a taxofit® Joints plus Chrono Depot® Tablet, and has only limited capacities for storing them. Consequently, these vital substances have to be supplied to the body on a regular basis and in sufficient amounts with our daily diet.
In order to ensure efficient absorption and utilisation in the body, the joint-specific vital substances contained in the patented taxofit® Chrono Depot® Tablet are released in two phases, based on the latest state-of-the-art knowledge in chronobiology:

• Vital substances that adversely affect each other in the process of absorption, such as copper and zinc or selenium and vitamin C, are released in different phases.
• The time of release of an individual vital substance depends on when it can be expected to be well absorbed.
Thus, for instance, glucosamine, chondroitin, copper, and selenium are released instantly to ensure quick availability.
The other joint-specific vital substances, however, are released over a period of several hours in a special depot phase, which contributes to a demand-specific long-term supply.
