Notes about data privacy

Data privacy is an important issue for us. We always process personal information with great care. Compliance with German legal provisions for data privacy is for us a matter of course. We want to explain to you here how we deal about personal data, which you leave when you visit our Internet pages.


1. Who is the provider of these pages?

Personal data which are obtained during the use of the information offered by Klosterfrau on the World Wide Web, are surveyed, processed and used by the Klosterfrau Vertriebs GmbH, Cologne. Address refer to the impressum. This is the responsible department in terms of the Federal Data Protection Act.

Our Web pages contain links to pages of other providers. We are not responsible for their content and also not for their observing of data privacy when you are visiting those pages. Links to other providers are always perceptible as such. If in doubt: All Klosterfrau pages contain a reference to our impressum.


2. Which personal data do we store?

You can visit our pages without disclosing your identity, on principle. For some offers, however, we need some personal information from you. This is true for the delivery of information material or ordered items, for participation in a lottery or for answering individual questions. In all these cases, we only store data which you enter voluntarily.

Due to security issues in electronic data processing and to offer optimally design our Internet offers, we also store data about your visits to our pages. This includes e.g. the time of the page request, the IP number of your computer from which you request our web pages, the previously visited page and the browser type used. We only use these date for statistical reasons in which you as a registered user stay anonymous. In cases of illegal attacks or abusive use of our Internet offers we reserve the right, to locate the originator with the help of the above mentioned data on page requests.


3. Type, scope and purpose of the use of data

We exclusively use your personal data for the purpose mentioned at the data acquisition, as e.g. for the transfer of desired information, for the processing of assignments and orders or the performance of surveys and lotteries.

For the purpose of advertisement and market- or opinion research we only use your personal data if you explicitly authorized us to do so. Our Web pages are designed in a way to allow you to specify the purpose of entered data as to allow or deny such use.

There is no disclosure of your personal data to third parties. External service providers who process data in our name, are bound by contracts to obey to all relevant data protection rules and are legally not third parties.


4. How do we process data of registered users?

Some areas of our Web offer are according to legal regulations only accessible for certain user groups such as pharmacists and doctors as well as their staff. In order to select such pages, users have to register either with Klosterfrau or with the DocCheck Medical Services Ltd. (www.doccheck.de).

If you register with Klosterfrau, we store your personal data as well as your user account and password entered during registration. In addition, we store information about how you use our Web offers (e.g. page requests with their time, associated IP address, provider, computer and browser type). We use these data after you gave your approval, to optimize our marketing and our Web offer for you and if applicable to be able to follow abuses.

If you use an account issued by DocCheck, we send one authentication request for each login to DocCheck, which are validated there without disclosing your identity to us. In this case the user profiles established by us are not connected your person.

We exclusively use these data to validate your access authorization.


5. What can you do to limit the processing of your data?

You can always withdraw approvals for the processing of your personal data. You can also generally deny the use of your data for advertisement or market research. You can, furthermore, exclude the creation of any user profile derived from your visits to our WWW pages. To do so, just send us a message to our contact address. 6. Cookies

Cookies are small files which we create on your machine in order to make your use of our Web offers as comfortable as possible. In these data input you gave on our web pages is stored intermediately. If on another page of our Web offer the same input is necessary again, it is automatically transferred there from the Cookie files. After the visit of our pages all Cookies are deleted.

You can adjust your Web-Browser in a way that the storage of Cookies is disabled on your machine. The use of our Web offer is thereby not limited - besides some restrictions in comfort. Most Browsers also offer you the option to delete stored Cookies at once.


7. Security

Personal data at Klosterfrau are saved into a secure environment and are not available for the public. We have to inform you though, that the transfer of data from your machine to our Internet-Server is uncoded. Also your entered personal data can be read, copied or edited with only minor technical efforts from all passed through communication processors within the Internet. We ask you to take this into account when using our Web offers.


8. Chats and Online Forums

Your contributions to a Chat Room or Online-Forum are publicly accessible to all Internet users. Our statements about data privacy are not valid for such communication forms, even though they are offered by Klosterfrau. Please take this into account when using our Web offers.


9. Enquiries and adjustments

On request we will always inform you free of charge if and if applicable what kind of personal data we store. If you wish information, please contact our data protection commissioner.


10. Enquiries to public authorities

In certain cases we are legally obliged to transfer personal data about the use of our Web offers to security and prosecuting authorities differing from the above described rules.


11. Modification of this declaration of data protection

Due to the fast technical progress it is possible that we have to adjust our security measures and thereby also our declaration of data protection measures. Please always observe the latest issue of our declaration of data protection. We will point you to important changes.
