About Us
The Klosterfrau Group is one of the most prominent German companies in the healthcare sector, with a 200-year history. What started as a small business founded by Maria Clementine Martin near Cologne Cathedral in 1826 has grown into a modern corporate group with over 1,500 employees across numerous national and international locations. As a traditional Cologne company, we have always been committed to supporting our hometown and society.
The emblem featuring three nuns in a Gothic pointed arch is very well known in Germany.
Our founder's mission to create health and well-being for people continues to guide us today. Our most famous product, Klosterfrau Melissengeist, has been a symbol of health and trust for generations. However, the Klosterfrau Group is much more than Melissengeist alone. Today, we bring together several business divisions – Consumer healthcare, Medical, Contract manufacturing, and Cosmetics – under one roof, producing a wide range of products and brands.
